Tinder Dating: Yes or No?

Láska a vztahy

According to surveys in the Czech Republic, up to 45% of new partnerships are created online. And that's why it's no wonder that around 59% of Czechs use dating apps. The most famous and popular dating site is Tinder. One-night stands, new friendships, but also serious relationships are created on Tinder. But is Tinder a good choice if you're primarily looking for serious dating?

What is Tinder?
The dating app Tinder saw the light of day in 2012 and quickly gained popularity in almost all corners of the world. Today, over 50 million users use the Tinder app. If you want to try the app, you don't have to break the bank. In its basic version, Tinder works as a free dating site that you simply download to your mobile in the App Store and Google Play Store. If you are attracted by the extended paid features, you can try the subscription variants – Tinder Premium or Tinder Gold. The price varies according to the chosen tariff. If you can handle the basic features, you can use Tinder for free.

How does Tinder work?
Logging in to Tinder is simple. You download the app, which you connect to your Facebook, upload photos and fill in the information in your profile. Finally, you choose whether you are interested in men or women, enter the age category and the distance from you. Tinder will immediately start showing you profiles of users who match your criteria. And then the fun awaits you - by moving to the left you "eliminate" those who did not catch your eye, by moving to the right the counterparts that you want to let into the "next round". If they also like you and you get a match, Tinder will connect you to each other and you can start chatting.

How to start a conversation on Tinder?
When you get a connection, be proactive and don't wait for someone to reach out to you. If you're interested in a serious relationship and don't want to discourage your partner unnecessarily, think ahead about how to start the conversation. Forget about hackneyed catchphrases that won't arouse the recipient's interest. Go through her or his profile and try to find something to bounce off of. You can hone in on hobbies and interests, for example. The first message should be positive or humorous and should invite further conversation.

Dating on Tinder can be fun, but…
Spending time on Tinder can be really fun and can often boost your confidence and mood. This is the main reason why around 50% of Tinder users perceive the app more like a game or a form of relaxation. The application allows you to flirt with dozens of men and women from the comfort of your home, without the need to go beyond your comfort zone. And that sounds very tempting to many people. Where else will several men and women show interest in you within a few hours? According to statistics, only 17% of users go on a real date. This can be a disadvantage if you are not just looking for a show and a flirt, but are looking for a serious relationship. In short, Tinder is a dating site for singles and singles. It can take a lot of effort and time to filter out the counterparts who are really looking for a serious relationship.

You will come across a diverse group of people here - singles, but also married ones, who are looking for lovers and lovers, all kinds of sexual lunatics who will engulf you in an avalanche of obscure messages, immoral proposals or nude photos. Here you will also meet foreigners who come to the Czech Republic to have fun and have fun.

Most often, men and women between the ages of 20-35 sign up for Tinder. You can also meet younger or older people here, but with increasing age, there are fewer suitable counterparts to get to know.

Only a fifth of users are looking for a serious relationship
